Feature for feature

## What Woodpecker's pricing page lists, next to Ballast.

Contacts

## How Woodpecker counts contacts.

The pricing page lists unlimited contacts storage on every step; the plan is limited by emails sent a month.

Ballast counts only active contacts: leads waiting for their first email or still mid-sequence. Leads that finished, replied, bounced or unsubscribed stay in your workspace with their history and stop counting, so nobody deletes leads to make room.

Where Ballast has a limit

Woodpecker's page lists no contact limit. Ballast's plans cap active contacts, and only those.

- Starter
  10,000 active contacts
- Growth
  75,000 active contacts
- Pro
  150,000 active contacts
- Scale
  375,000 active contacts

The honest part

## When Woodpecker is the better pick.

- ### You want LinkedIn steps in the same campaign
Woodpecker's Multichannel plan puts email and LinkedIn in one campaign. Ballast is email only.
- ### You want leads and mailboxes on one bill
Woodpecker includes Lead Finder credits and sells Google and Microsoft addresses and domains in the app. Ballast doesn't sell contact data or mailboxes.

If you send cold email from your own mailboxes and want every feature without the next tier, Ballast is the cheaper home for it. [How to import your leads](https://ballast.to/docs/leads#import)
